How beatable is this game sans cutscenes? (steam deck)

I usually just game casually on my MacBook, but I borrowed a friend's Steam Deck after seeing a twitch stream of this game and getting very interested in playing it myself. I've encountered the identified problem with cutscenes not playing — I'm getting a TV test pattern image instead of the white screen that others describe, but otherwise same problem. So far I've missed the game intro, the security room intro and one of the fortune teller's visions — all of which I'd already seen on twitch before I started, so I don't mind too much.

I found a YouTube video with all of the fortune teller's scenes in it, so I'll be able to watch those as I discover them in game. And I know from reading these forums that there's an ending cutscene which I'll presumably have to watch on YouTube as well.

My question is — are there any cutscenes, besides the fortune teller ones, whose absence will hinder me from beating the game? I'm especially worried about cutscenes that contain vital clues but aren't cinematic enough to be able to be separately searched for. I would rather play the game as it is now, supplemented by YouTube, but if I'm in for an impassable experience I can certainly wait for a patch. I'd just rather know ahead of time.

AFAIK none of the cutscenes have critical information in them, that being said cutscenes work just fine on Steam Deck for me. I have GE-Proton installed though.

Thanks for the info! I'm aware that there are workarounds, but because I'm borrowing the console from my friend it's not something I'm pursuing atm. I do have faith that the bug will eventually get fixed!
