Indeed - I feel it's almost negative PR value because people get hyped watching the game, then disappointed and move to the next thing once they realize it's not available.

Although people don't have to watch the streamers playing to avoid spoilers, it's kinda detrimental to the product as there is a mentality where some may opt to not buy a game as they can just watch it instead. I can't see many who watch 2-3 hours of it then wanting to go and buy it for themselves. They wont want to turn off their 'favourite' streamer either.

Usually this type of marketing can be really beneficial for games but I'm not sure in this case. Reviews are enough to suffice.

I don't think it's necessarily that simple. If this was a new highly anticipated movie with massive spoilers and they let content creators and influences watch it early and talk about it, even if you didn't watch them you couldn't guarantee that those spoilers don't make it onto other forums, and sites that you do go to. That's why people have to practically go dark just to avoid spoilers. I don't think it's reasonable for people to have to give up the internet entirely just because some people are provided early access to things.

Hi there, it's great to see how excited you are for the upcoming release of Blue Prince tomorrow. I just wanted to clarify that no influencer coverage of the full game has been permitted ahead of the game launch tomorrow at 4pm CEST/3pm BST/10am EDT/7am PDT.

Some press outlets have covered the game in the form of a video review and may have shown elements of the game, but there have been no streams, or uncut playthrough videos allowed to preserve everyone's enjoyment of the full game when it releases tomorrow.

The only version of Blue Prince content creators have been able to play so far has been the demo version, whilst it was available last year/earlier this year. This includes the video currently playing on our steam page.
