Is this a one and done game or should I expect DLCs/major updates?
I'm asking this question because this helps me to decide if I should play it through the game pass or elsewhere.

I don't think anybody can say for sure atm, but while I was able to play the demo I got real strong tile-based boardgame vibes (e.g. Forbidden Desert, Betrayal at House on the Hill, etc...) I feel that there is enough RNG here that every playthrough will be unique enough that even if you do know everything you need to know it can still provide a different challenge every time.

If you are into those types of boardgames I feel confident you will probably like to return after you finished it, but if those types of challenges/puzzles are something you don't feel the need to revisit you might want to wait.

I still can't say for sure because the game is not out, but based on my experience with the demo I don't think it's going to be too far off.

I'm into board games and detective games so I know I will like Blue Prince. I just hope to get an answer from the devs or publisher. I'm aware it's a sort of roguelite, but I wonder if they intend to release additional content within a year or two.
The market has you so well trained as a consumer you're asking for more before the game even released.

I'm not asking for more dude. I guess the attention market trained you so well to jump to conclusions based on titles alone. :o)

Seriously, I'll rephrase if it helps: my dilemma is whether I should buy the game on Steam or if buying one or two months of Game Pass is enough to explore what this game has to offer. Because, if it's not obvious, it could be a worse deal to play it through Game Pass if the devs release major content updates over a long period. Take note that Blue Prince has some roguelite elements and these games tend to be updated...

A number of reviewers have said they’re putting in north of 100 hours because there’s so much to do after rolling credits. It doesn’t seem like extra content is super needed.
