1. "Novel/Noel" (This one's a bit of a stretch as I'm not sure how common Noel is in english)
2. "Ear/Year" (Calendars generally work for an entire year)
3. "Stem/Steam" (The thorns are on the rose's stem, and the pot is boiling rather than burning)
4. "Steam/Stream"
5. This one I could not get but deduced the missing letter must be H from the rest of the rank's results. If anybody cares to tell us I'm also very curious to know what their guess is.
1. This one was definitely hard. Novel/Noel - Mostly got it due to how few things the book could represent. Creating the word "VYING" has been interesting though... it is seeming like it is correct and intentional and I haven't heard an alternative argument that is compelling.
2. Year/Ear
3. Steam/Stem
4. Stream/Steam - Same "steam" usage as 3.
5. Harbor/Arbor - This one I only got from a friend. I knew Trellis, but didn't know Arbor and I remember us looking up the definition afterwards.
1. I at first thought it was Holy (bible) and Holly which would have constructed "lying".
As I haven't figured out the p I assumed it could be a c, thus making "clans" and that it would involve the different sigils or family crests.
Anyone know the pairs in:
1. the gymnasium? (a medal and a shoelace?)
2. the conference room (a farm and music notes)
3. the passageway? (A tincan and a reservoir pen?)
4. the trophy room (A sailboat or pier and luggage?)
5. the ballroom (a boar and again music notes?)
I almost got angry at the one with a banana. how does that represent "rot"?? I figured it out but I didnt like it.
1. Gymnasium: Place / Lace
2. Conference Room: I don't remember this one off-hand. Did the farm show a barn? Barn/Bar might be what it was, but I would need to look at the pictures a second time to be sure. I know Conference Room was an N in our notes.
3. Passageway: Open / Pen
4. Trophy Room: From the description, I'm not completely sure... if you mean the one with the lunchbox, this was a hard one for us as well - Launch / Lunch. I'm assuming it is the one you mean as the boat leaving the pier as "launch" took us a little bit and my notes show we recorded A for Trophy Room.
5. Ballroom: Boar / Bar - as in a bar/measure of music
The music ones are probably easier if you don't have a tin ear and a complete disinterest in anything musical, including the terms.
