Patio question
Next there will be potential spoilers
I was able to drain the aquarium from the pump room and noticed that on small models of the rooms inside the tanks there are clues. Patio for instance had an "X" next to the BBQ. I am there right now but can't find anything. Any ideas?

the trigger for it is finicy to prevent accidental discoveries. discovering the clue doesnt change anything in the room.

I don't think this is the case. I don't think the trigger is there until you discover the clue.

It is also still a finicky trigger (I think there is a slight delay to it, as well as it being a small spot)

No, it's definitely there before you discover the clue; I've started a new run which I'm rushing through because I'm not happy with some of my upgrade disk choices, and I'm digging up things all over the place as soon as I get access, without bothering with finding or looking at the actual clues pointing to them first. Only run into one exception to this so far, out in the apple orchard.

So why not just keep taking showroom items to the trading post and trade them in until you fix the ones you don't want?

Also you're 100% correct. If you do not even know the clue, you can still find it.

...can you do that? Undo a chosen upgrade and pick a different one for that room?

I have dug it up on a fresh profile without draining the aquarium.

You can take showroom items of great value to the trading post and they will give you an upgrade disk. It will randomly upgrade one of your rooms and it could be one you've already done so you can correct it.

Huh, cool, thanks. Might try that, though tbh I'm enjoying having my throne room still black rather than blue so I can just use the King power to let me easily open up room 46 without traipsing all over the underground first.

I *believe* it still counts as black for the purpose of the banner and scepter even after upgrading it. But could you satisfy my curiosity: why are you still going to the 46th room at that point?.

For the crown, mostly, to cut down on the more annoying red rooms I have to deal with when I'm trying stuff out (I usually like to keep the ornate compass in the coat check). Or just to take another look at the crest details/order of the realm symbols/whatever. And thanks, I'll have to go back and test what happens to my scepter if it's set to blue/black and I end the day in the blue throne room.
Right, so: the Blue Throne seems to potentially count as both blue and black, weirdly? In the directory it's labelled as blue, yeah, and if I end the day in there with a blue scepter I still have it the next day, but I'm also drawing it repeatedly when I put the King power over to black, so... *shrugs*

eta: black scepter gets lost if ending the day in the blue throne room though
