demo - cant move?

Trying to play the demo but my WASD keys doesn't work :(

I don't have a controller plugged in.

Same issue. The menus are navigable by mouse but wasd doesn't move the character at all. Somehow while plugging in a controller I skipped day one and could move on day 2 with a controller, after which wasd worked. I have no idea what happened.

It happened again, I couldn't move on day one: touching my controller skipped to day two where I could move with both devices.

Same just happened to me. No controller plugged in, but can't use WASD to move. If it helps troubleshooting, I _do_ have my PS5 headphones connected.

Yup, same here. Seems to be a fairly common problem.

I had the same issue, but thankfully simply closing and rebooting the game fixed it. Here because I saw NL playing it, looking forward to full release :)

Hey folks,

Thanks for taking the time to report this to us. We tracked it, fixed it and patched it.

We're watching the forums very closely so if you run into any additional issues please let us know and we'll get right on it.

So this hasn't solved the issue for everyone we're looking into it again. Here's a potential workaround while we try to patch it out.

- Turn off Steamcloud in your Steam preferences
(this is to stop it from downloading your current save files)
- Go to your local save files which you can find it here:
C:\Users\(your windows username)\AppData\LocalLow\Dogubomb Studios
- Delete that folder
- Start a new game
- Do not skip the intro cinematic when new game is starting

This appears to be the root cause of the issue for us but players with this problem are in a minus 1% of our player base and it's difficult to pinpoint right now.

I will come back to this thread with more info soon.

No problem, I know it's a demo, and am sure everything will be ironed out in time. Seems like a great game from what I've watched and look forward to playing
