Carboys and yeast
So I'm trying to ferment in a carboy.
It says I cannot pitch yeast once the wort is inside the carboy and when I pitch in the brewer and then transfer it in the carboy, be it from tap or with a pump, it's like the yeast is filtered and is stuck in the first container.
Am I missing something?
I'm on ps4 by the way

I always put my yeast in the clean and empty fermentation container before the wort. I do this both on PC and on Switch.

It shouldn't matter.

I think the issue you're running into is that pumps no longer transfer undissolved things. It was a problem that they fixed and it fixed a lot of other issues in doing so, but it could introduce more problems if you tried to pour yeast into wort and not directly into the Fermentation container, carboy or oak barrel, as you would get not enough yeast transfer if you dropped it into the wort before that stage.

The pumps will now filter it out as undissolved and only transfer the liquid.
Undissolved things are basically a solid and right now, pumps ignore them. They can only transfer liquids, so they need time to dissolve or they are entirely ignored by pump transfers.

All right thanks I'll try that, I did try to wait for the yeast to dissolve in the brewing kettle before transferring but it didn't seem to do it. Maybe dissolving yeast only occurs in fermentation containers?

All right so I tried to pitch the yeast in the empty carboy and it still didn't work. It said not enough space to pour into container.
So I moved the carboy somewhere else. And it actually worked, I guess since the carboy was on the floor, the table prevented me from doing it.
