Steam input with PS5 controller issue

I can't complete the game it would seem. I managed to get so far but the flying is broken when trying to use the left paddle on a PS5 Dual Sense controller. I am at a part near the end of the game where I have to jump twice, fly to a set of falling floating blocks on the left, then up to a ledge with falling block on the right, then I have to fly off to the left and steer it around to the right where there is a ledge on the cliff. I am unable to steer it with the PS5 controller using Steam input properly. Usually it just flies in a straight line and sometimes lets me change direction if I am lucky. It's been a real struggle up until this point. I am seriously thinking of getting an Xbox controller just for PC gaming. Would DS4 fix this issue?

EDIT: I ran DS4 and I could complete the game. If I had known this before it would have been so much easier. I think I will replay it now just to 100% it as I missed vinyl 3 and Sharpy.
