Date Z

DLC
Can someone explain what are we actually getting in the dlc stuff? Is it just additional scenes or is it actually selling the whole dating route for the particular character? I bought the game today but won't have a chance to play it until later but I saw the dlc and was wondering what is it actually adding.

I have never been a fan of Day One DLC already but the fact that the description feels so vague, doesn't help.

Its locking out the girls in question almost entirely. They still appear for intros and obligatory scenes like with vivi in the demo. You just cant initiate their routes without the dlc. Hate they chose this route to monetize, honestly would have paid 25 if asked up front cause the quality is totally there. Great game, but this had me disappointed in the dev. There wasnt any reason to rapid fire double dip when theres a quality product.

That is so odd. So basically there is little to no romance in the base game? If so, I don't believe I ever played a Visual Novel type game that has ever done this. Not to mention the game is literally called Date Z. Everything as far as visuals and the demo leading up to the game finally releasing had me interested but I had the impression romance would play a big part in the game as well.

They are literally selling a demo. You can't fully finish the game without dating the other girls. To date other girls you have to buy the dlc. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ because I was actually interested in this.

That's what I am also seeing other people say as well. I think I will be refunding which is a shame since it feels like I have had this game on my wish list since forever and been following it but yeah this just seems kind of messed up to do in a game literally called Date Z. While I do like the art and premise, I do not want to support this kind of business model.

I chose to bundle the prices and treat it like a 29.99 game (which is what i thought the price would have been honestly) In that regard the game holds up fine. This absurd little game is to far in my wheelhouse for me not to support it. Im unfamiliar with the devs and am giving them the benefit of the doubt. your mileage may vary.

I'll probably just skip this game now. I was really looking forward to this too :(
