Is the game really bad?
i just finished playing house of ashes in coop and it was a great time. We wanted to continue with this game and just saw the bad reviews. Is the coop really that bad?

Just finished it with my mate. It is solid and we found it to be better the house of ashes.

Yeah, I just finished it. It had a poor release due to bugs so people weren't happy. But now, I played solo the whole thing and it was really good.

Go for it mate, i had a blast with my friend. There are some boring parts, but its definitely the scariest game in the series.

we're starting it tomorrow and we're so excited.

This is the worst title of them all.
Buggy, bad controls and input just doesn't work well with mouse and keyboard.
My coop partner and i both quit the game out of frustration after 3 hours.

It seems it's because of the multiplayer aspect. That person has 7.2 hours in it and mentioned "My coop partner and i both quit the game out of frustration after 3 hours"

So, just enjoy the game solo and you'll be fine. I own all of these on the PS4 and I enjoyed it. It wasn't what I thought it would be (one of the main characters is the killer or you get to control the killer etc)

I enjoyed all of them. Man of Medan was my favorite, Little Hope comes in second (I did want a game where you play as someone who sees hallucinations/imaginary people) even though again, it didn't play out the way I would have wanted (especially for a character with these issues) I still enjoyed it.

House of Ashes? eh, it was okay but not one I'd enjoy playing over and over for the other endings.

Yeah, I'll be honest, if you liked the other ones in the series, I can't see a reason why you wouldn't like this one. It's more of the same. If you want something else, then it's not for you. If you want the same stuff you've been getting, then it'll scratch that itch.

In my opinion "The Devil in me" is a very well made game. This means, if you like the genre, then this game is just as good or better than the previous ones, but it is more of the same.

The game is very tense towards the ending, and the developers are really keeping up the pressure on the player until the end. You really have to avold being killed many, many times to succeed in saving everybody, which I could not do without cheating.

I played this on release and had all sorts of bugs with the shared story. We made it thru but it was still frustrating. Fast forward to today and a lot of the same glitches seem to be present; randomly start t posing, randomly start to float, co op partner vanishes, co op partner appears to be frozen but is actually somewhere completely different.

I like this story so much more than the others but its a shame that some of these co op glitches are still here after 2 years.
