Can you confirm whether, if checking in Task Manager after pressing launch, the game .exe is running anywhere at all? Do you see any type of error message(s)? I saw in another thread that some players were receiving a message about a missing file, so I'm just wanting to understand exactly where this is appearing?

I got the Season One bundle and The Devil in Me only downloads a 'dummy.txt' file -- there are no other files in the installation. Someone did some searching around Steam's package database and it looks like the Season One bundle's depot (the internal list that tells Steam what to download when activating a key and creating a new entry in a user's Library) doesn't point to the right content.
I inquired about this issue with Bandai Namco earlier today and was advised this should be resolved. Can you try checking for an update for the game and if so, make sure that that update is applied / performed?
If however this is still persisting for you, I can pass this information on - if this is the same issue you're all having, can you tell me if you all acquired the game via a purchase of the four game bundle, and also if you purchased the game/bundle directly via Steam or from another external retailer?

Even though I had anti virus turned off, Avast had already quarantined the exe file as a trojan!
Restoring that and then adding it as an exception solved it.
Enjoying the game a lot now so happy days :)
Don't believe anything Avast tells you. It's got a habit of flagging False positives.
Please check for a game update and apply it if available - this issue should be resolved afterward! Let me know if this works for you.
I believe I've replied to you in another thread, so please keep me updated there about your experience of this issue with launching the game (just so we don't split information across multiple threads).
Glad that you figured it out! If need be, you could add the .exe file for The Devil in Me as an exception in your antirvirus, to whitelist it as an application that you know to be safe. Enjoy the game!
