TIPS and TRICKS - MEGA THREAD
Thought i would get ahead of the curve and make this mega thread for any neat or useful info people discover so as to make it easy to find it in one place. My first comment is literally just a copy paste of my reply to someone else thread so if it seems oddly worded that's why as i'm too lazy to rewrite it.

If you discover anything useful whether its small or not than please feel free to add it here as i have noticed a quite a few people having trouble already with this games mechanics. Do note if the info you post is to do with the demo please clarify that as we know that things will probably be a bit different once the full game releases ( or they find out that we already exploiting the games mechanics to our benefit )

Hope this helps people and makes things a bit easier to find... cant wait to see peoples setups/builds

THIS IS THE REPOST I MENTIONED AND ALL INFO IS FROM THE DEMO VERSION "CURRENTLY"

yeah the bullet counter funnily enough is designed to counter projectiles ( who would have guessed ) ... im surprised to see how many people are having trouble with the mechanics the game HONESTLY over explains. I would HIGHLY recommend reading skill tool tips and note that the ex version of the skill requires you to upgrade that skill with SKILL POINTS if you want its extra effect which for alot of skills is the AIR/BULLET/BREAK counter, so if you are also using skills thinking it comes with that effect by default then you would be mistaken.

Forgot to mention that the enemy attack will literally tell you what counter to use before it even starts readying the attack, they are also colour coded for people that forget to read.

i would recommend practising with the 1H sword as they get all 3 counters for real cheap and if you play as the tank you can always keep the aggro on them while having your 3 stage auto combo be the DEF down/ ATK down / SP regen to stay alive longer and deal more damage REAL easy.

For those too lazy to read tooltips your setup for 1H sword should be { Photon eraser, vertical Arc, vorpal strike and Nova ascension for a DMG skill on the palette } while your 3 stage auto combo skills should be { Sonic Leap, Horizontal Square and Savage fulcrum THOUGH THE LAST ONE CAN REALLY BE WHATEVER YOU WANT IF YOU AREN'T FINDING YOURSELF LOW ON SP }

do also remember that any skills you upgrade also apply to all OTHER party members so early on upgrading 1H sword is also a safe bet as there are 1H sword users in the TANK and BUFF sub class.

If you want a safe party to practise with have kirito Dual wield, Dorothy for dmg, and play as Leafa or eugeo as tank and have the 1H sword setup i mentioned and then Lisbeth as your buffer ( alice works aswell as you will be switching between leafa and the buffer character you pick to cast buffs manually and alice can make use of the same 1H load-out if you don't wanna learn another weapon and lose damage in the short term, plus it adds another set of FAST debuffs for auto combo ) and then you should never really have a problem, at least for anything in the demo even on hard mode

ALL RED chests reset every time you teleport so if you wanna farm for gear then that is an option as gear stats are randomised every time so this is an easy way to get stronger REAL easy early on.

if you are struggling with world bosses then note that at least in this demo ( i feel will possibly patched out in the full release sooner or later as its a busted exploit that i feel is not intentional ) every time you flee from the boss (the red barrier around the boss fight) you will auto rez any downed teammates and FULLY and i mean FULLY regen the allied attack bar so you can literally go in auto combo as leafa for debuffs, allied attack to guarantee down and special attack, walk pass the red line, rinse repeat until its dead, as the enemy HP doesn't CURRENTLY reset. I will say though on HARD mode which i have been playing to get the better quality drops ( yes we finally have a reason to play on hard mode from the start ) enemies are higher level and have ALOT of hp so this is something you do in the background while watching youtube or something as it can take upwards of 30 minutes for even the lowest level one, depending on how much attention you are paying to it while farming and that no hiccups happen while doing so. NOTE that the stats from weapon/equipment drops from boss enemies are also random as well.

DAMN just realised i wrote an essay... oh well i hope this helps some people anyway, if i notice anything else that seems useful or handy then i might update this or a new post, also feel free to add any other useful information you find yourself as i haven't run every setup/weapon/party combo yet so there is probably stuff i have missed

Not an amazing tip per se, but you can get a good feel for every weapon near the end of the demo in the area known as "Altar of the Fallen", which is also associated with where you can not only learn weapon awakenings, but obtain them under the right conditions. A weapon's awakening condition is a good feel to what you're supposed to be doing with said weapon. i.e Dual Swords Skill connect ex, 2-hand swords take hits while using your sword skills, katanas bleeding, etc.

There is a debuff statue after clearing the sandstorm which you can use sacred art ice Field in quick succession within 5 seconds to get 1 skill points for those whom may want to max early before full release

lol... if i could put up with the jank and lack of polish from ALL previous SAO games like hollow realization, fatal bullet and lycoris i should be fine with this one especially if the demo is anything to go off of they seem to have actually made doing things beside spamming the attack button useful this time around, but hey not every game is meant for everyone, i know alot of people that dont like reading or having to get good at the mechanics/systems a game has. If you aren't a fan of grindy JRPGS or SAO this game is not gonna change your mind on it.
