There will be at least two more Story dlc's, but I don't see them ever ending the series, as sao is too popular for that.

Yes, it's the end, the "game series", the two upcoming DLCs, only contain a few new dungeons and stroy, which again has nothing to do with the main story of the game, because that's really the end at the end.

As for whether there will be another version of SAO Gun Gale Online, we'll have to wait and see how the season of the anime comes across.

Don't worry about that ,there will be more SAO video games.It takes time,so what we need to do is to enjoy the SAO games and wait for it.

As far as the gameverse goes this will prolly be the end of the gameverse as far as the timeline goes. However they can always make more games that take place after LR or somewhere else in the timeline before LR. Hell they could take the alternate timeline that branched off with accel world vs sao and make that its own storyline, or make a spinoff series with the FB protag and their crew. There is a lot of directions they can go. However when it comes to future sao games, I do not think we will see a new one for a while.

Making a game out of the next arc would be a really hard thing, so no, while it pains me, I don't think we will get another main gameverse entry.

I also would never want another game if they make another ♥♥♥♥ game like AL or LR

because a Moon Cradle dlc or game would be interesting.
especially since in unleash blading as the only game (even if only mobile) had the Moon Cradle arc. even if unleash blading is not part of the gameverse.

and I hope for a Unital Ring Arc game.

but 2 things i really wish for is a fatal bullet 2 and a SAO progressive game with asuna as the main char.
