I wanna say despite what i have seen from the reviews for other players one thing to note is that despite my enjoyment for the game there are some issues that need to be addressed so im gonna start with the bad points and then move on to the good points.

Bad pointers:

i feel that when the game teaches you how to play that not all equipment that's shown is made as an automatic feature, if lets say the grapple hook was a automatic feature then i would have understood the tutorial a little bit better, what confused me after playing for a while was why there where mechanicos beacons within the main tutorial base?

aren't those things meant to spawn enemy waves at you when your in the exploration vase of it all?

Also the multiplayer is a bit janky, a player i was playing with said to me he had died and yet somehow lag made it unknowable to me if he did die or not till later on when he told me he had, i think for the multiplayer to work it needs a major overhaul on the connectivity issues, idk what causes it but it was strange how i didn't notice him dying the only thing i did see was that his health bar was super low.

the writing is a little meh, i feel like the game could have done with a slightly better story line like maybe give us context on why the mechanicos exists, why is humanity fighting for survival and would even be great to getting remnants of the past that also gives us bits of ices of information about the lore of the game, i know we get those PDA type notes but i feel it would have gone down better with some voice lines, which also brings me to the players character i feel like there needs to be more immersion for when the player drops on the ground to jumping, to sliding across the floor, for me the sounds during those moments felt lack lustier at best.

also i think the game is overdue for a base building tutorial, having to go into the pause menu to look at resources that could be helpful feels atleast to me more of a hindrance than a bonus, so even if its a com link reaching to the player to say how to use parts of the base, turret placement and etc then i feel more players would feel more inclined to a fun building experience.

now on to some of my good points of why i like this game.

cinematic seem to be on par with the generally graphics of the game (though sometimes there are bugs that effect the players movement and can sometimes get a minute of frozen screen),

I do like the option of being able to buy base parts from the shop that's super handy when you are in need of a part for your outpost, its even cooler with the outcast traders as well giving you titbits and one of them if you gather enough vintage guns gives you a decent turret for your outpost.

the recovery missions are fun and can be a challenge if you have come unprepared to the fight, i would like to see a dynamic way of how the mechancoes Ai handles rough terrain, maybe some dedicated movement path finding so that the Mechanicoes can flank your recovery position, give the player that moment where he is concerned when and where the mechanicoes are coming from, sure its great to know where their man force is coming from but having ambushed or flanking the players outpost would be even more fun putting the player on the edge of their seat each recovery mission.

I think the only thing that annoys me per-say is that the mechanicoes love placing their own mines in bunkers, the amount of times i have been downed because of them is ridiculous, the little latch on spiders down me less than then damn mines.

But the best aspect of the building process is the fact you can put camo on your outpost or you can place different colour variants onto your outpost to make it stand out, if we got more options to livin up our outposts it would be great.

so far i am excited for the next installment but i just hope the story line is fleshed out a little bit better as we still don't know much about why the EUA are fighting the mechanicoes in the first place.

Also for some reason polina is buffed as hell as a mini boss please just make it so were just putting her out of her misery otherwise it just feels like a slug match with her.

Not even 3 hours in and I'm impressed at the level of polish and lack of bugs so many new games come with. Definitely having fun. Really impressive quality for a game in 2025.
