I also hope to know it. I did it what you say. But I see nothing happen.
Plug on your core or floors then drop the ball in
Now just to figure out how to get more charge out of it. Every time I've done it, it gave me "Charge Strength 2: 4 power", but then this last time I did it, I got 8 power out of it somehow
the longer the ball is in the air the more power you get. You mostly use it to open door in the maps. thats why there is one by a locked door in the old barracks. I normally get 50 power from it. throw beside the AC unit looking thing and after hitting the wall it will slow down giving you far more of a power charge.

Always plug in first (to a Core, Power Converter, Terminal that requires power) and only then throw the ball at the top of Cylinder. If you throw first, power is wasted.
Gavin mcStine said something like that already so I did think adding it was needed. You are correct that this detail is important and I should have included it. Thank you for adding it.
I get 10-35 ish for a good throw. BTW dont drop it from the top. Soemhow it give me very little power then. Just try a big ole lob shot.

its all about how long its in the air. you want to hit the building. it causes it to slow down. increasing your power gains. I normally get 40 to 50 power. I am not saying you will always get that amount. Mostly because there are better ways to get more power. Like getting higher and hitting the rim. that could give more power then I am getting. Throwing up in the air and into the machine gives you far less power because you do not get the delay.
