Same, my bases only use the Vanguard due to style and just it being the most useful mech for base defense. Where as I would 100% use Heavy Knights and Heavy Vanguard variants.
Not sure about the spider tank though, as the wrecks style doesn't mesh well aesthetically though if it's like a mobile mini-fortress mech then I might consider having one. Honestly, I still want a mini-exo suit starter mech you can pick up and use turrets with that normally have too much kick for a handheld gun.
A mech wielding a CIWS would certainly be a nice addition.
From the looks of it, the spider tank ruin has 2 30mm twin barrel automatic cannons on its sides, two basic machine guns on the top, and strange circular devices on the legs and back. Maybe a shield generator, force field, or emp / electric field.
Might be something to suggest to the Devs, but at the end of the day the game is biased toward adding more guns. Adding more defenses is not worth it due to cost, space, and how many penalties are stacked on any defensive objects.
Personally I think that is only set decoration, as no one has the space to put that on a base when the EC's exist.
Yea just like for the Spear of Down.... you baby clown.
