Managed to get through Ruined city difficulty 2, but now is 3.
My dumbass thought that 6 ammo maker is enough to keep 2 autoloader going, I end up with 4 autoloader (2 from combat cover) with only 6 ammo maker struggling to supply them in the end.

I dont know how you would reload the howitzer, they seem very underwhelming especially since they cant guarantee death of tank in a shot, and need much effort to create ammo for them. Although.... maybe they have bonus damage against Kronos? I was about to break when both the wave and kronos advanced at the same time, but the boss seemingly self destruct few second after it land, I guess howitzer are just stronger against boss but utter crap against anything less than massive enemy?

I only have 2 ciws, 4x30mm cannon, and 4 machine gun at the back. The whole reason I think, I managed to pull through an 800s wave is because maybe.... I kept spam making the guardians from the first map and got lucky on finding 3 Knight beacons I can spam to keep them at bay, the rest I kept distracting enemy with titan spike. cause by the last 30 seconds, they were dancing on the stairs, strange they didnt damage the core...

The thought that I have to fight difficulty 3 to progress the story and get new blue prints is.... what to do next? I feel like I only made it through sheer luck.

I started using a lot less ammo when I optimized what my guns were aiming at in their configurations. I completely turn off small enemies for the 30 mm. They eat a mountain of ammo otherwise. The MG turrets are immensely more efficient at dealing with the swarms of scorpions.

Pro tip: You can double click on a turret in the editor to select all of them when in the configuration mode.

Its a bit upgraded since the last time, but yeah, the rear used to have two towers guarding the rear and only 1 knight hangar, 2 ciws in front. but the layout is something like this for me. I just remembered... I didnt have doors at the rear at the time so the bugs just waltz in like they own the place lol

Oh didnt know bout that, I only ever use the turret icon on the right but selecting the turret themselves is a problem yeah. Question, do they save config if you set them up on the first mission? wouldnt want to keep doing that each map I roam towards

2 Auto Ammunition makers
6 Normal Ammunition makers
Plus I load up all of them with ammunition before the final city fight as well.
Use Engineer helmet to manually load an extra 75% munitions
You going to have to grind out more weapons and base core upgrades

Go back to Forest III and farm up more purples weapon parts to upgrade base
You need a lot more weapons, reloading everything isnt the right stratergy

Just made it through difficulty 3 on my current set up, 500 seconds this time, anymore I wouldnt have made it, didnt manage to get the boss out though. but yeah. It seemed planting crap ton of titan spike on the side made it last a lot longer. I go Snow when I want to get some stuff up, forest just seem to give out too little reward.

My strat here is this, 10 titan spike holding a lane, compact outpost with 30-60 guardians holding that lane, 2 knight and all the turret card at the front. and 3 expendable machine gun to the odd flank And then, the character I have is going to do all the heavy lifting pressing the crap out of one lane then move to the next.

might be a bit impatient of me, but I really need all the good stuff the higher difficulty map gives you. Its kinda.... sadistic of the dev that we need control module for our autoloaders.... that takes forever to make. Might as well just spam expendable guardians and increase core power way high up.

I don't think the setting changes made in missions carry over. But if you use the turret configurations in the hangar, those turrets will have those settings in all of your missions.
Hold up, you can do that in hangar as well? alright, Ima look at it.
best tip i found was to send some guardians up the ramps on the left and right - the artillery tanks switch to their miniguns and try to shoot the guardians instead of raining artillery onto your base - the guardians due to how high they are barely take and damg as it all just hits the structure

Sounds like you're doing great, you got 2 options.

Farm difficulty 1 for gear and loot upgrades, you can still get useful end-game items from that.
Join high level difficulty city tours by other players and hoover up the loot they earn playing for free.

Only 2 CIWS? thats crazy small amount, i had like ~15+ before i unlocked the hellfire turrets and im farming city 3 at the moment.

Sounds like you're doing great, you got 2 options.

Im diving into hell if it meant I get more of those stuff for autoloaders and stuff faster. Just finished difficulty 4, another close call but if gotta farm, Im gonna stay farming at 3 cause difficulty 4 is just 3 with extra risk.

at least now I got 4 ciws, 1 advanced and 2 autoloaders. still needs some more of those automated makers though, atm I only have 1.
