as the title says i'mg getting real ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sick of that worthless pop up theres support galor yet it refuses to actually do it i can put a dozen pillars under something and it will not stop flashing red and i'm getting real tired of it

Armoured tiles are a problem. If you put a armoured tile centrally on top of a pillar there is no support. Put the armoured tile a slot inwards on the connection lines however, and it's like you can support 20% of your base before you run into support problems. How it works isn't random... it's certainly following some rules... they aren't just transparent or explained or work as flexibly as the utility tiles.

A very valuable thing to do is to make a test base... create a second floor, and experiment where you can put the least amount of pillars. You'll realise you can do an entire second floor without much support at all, as long as you figure out that connection points on some tiles in certain places are more optimal than others. Some slots don't even add to any support at all.
