Are conveyor belts useful?

Can they load ammo from the ammo fabricator to the autoloader so I don't have to always be there manually?

No. They just bring ammo around the Outpost. To load the ammo into autoloader you need a loader who does this itself or you just use the skill in command mode

they can be fun to play with. but yea, belt usefullness is arguable at best. especially when you unlock it. You get belt WAY sooner than anything that can "officially" use belts, that is the advanced autoloader and the automatic ammo maker.

but, if you think outside the box, theres at least 1 more use that i personally enjoy, and its using it to filter through loots and combine stacks into mules.

Hers my version, in that screenshot you drop the stuff in the room to the left, and conveyors will move it over all the mules so they pick what they can. which in turn tend to mean they combine the stacks for you.

Well I tried it and it is helpfull if you want to automate everything. I must be doing something wrong. The ammo lands at the feet of the autoloader, but it wont self-reload. What am I doing wrong? is there some research for autoloaders to do it?

yes, its called the advanced autoloader, it has twice the ammo storage and auto pickup ammo in the marked zone.

Yes, for the ammo makers...

But they need to be fixed so they do not stop player movement going against their movement direction when standing on them.
