(TO Dev) I've come to realize why there's an FPS drop
I've played for 100 hours (2id), and my game ran smoothly until I made a major upgrade to my base. I replaced the MG with an 8 CIWS.

The result? My game freezes and stutters to the point where it's unplayable. I can only stand still, unable to move or do anything every time the CIWS fires. It's unbearable, like hell breaking loose, destroying even my computer (Ryzen5 + rtx3060).

So, I decided to test by removing the CIWS and leaving only 2 barrels (just for minimal defense against missiles) and bringing back the MG.

Oh my god, the game became playable again, but only just. It's still not smooth, even though I've adjusted every setting to low.

I think the game's damage calculation system works on a 'bullet per bullet, round per round' basis, meaning you're doomed to die when you have such a fast-firing CIWS. It's no different from blowing up your own computer.

I think developers need to do something about this, or the game will become almost unplayable, especially at higher difficulty levels without CIWS.

Apologies if my English isn't good; it's not my primary language.

and

I surrounded my base with a fence.
And the scorpion couldn't find his way. The game will lag immediately.
So I put it to the test, removed the fence, and deliberately gave the enemy a path to attack the wall.
The result is that it worked. Games don't freeze.

that would definitely explain why I get such a massive performance boost in snow ruins vs city ruins recovery day, my 12+ CIWS turrets aren't constantly firing in snow ruins because you can actually hold the forward promethean core indefinitely.
this is baloney i have over 30 ciws on my base and only lose around 20 frames (even with a bunch of other stuff firing) at high action moments, your complaint is with your own hardware not the games capability. its not perfect but its not even close to unplayable.

In my case, it happens when the scorpion gets stuck on a structure and then fails to find its way.

my outpost value is half a mil its not the size causing lag its things like ammo makers. this game is very impressive so its annoying to see people ♥♥♥♥ on it because they have a sucky spec pc. the devs did great and its way more stable than a lot of initial release games

It's only smooth because the texture filtering is so ridiculously massive to the point where you see everything turns from ♥♥♥♥ to crisp the moment you get close to it.

Hey
I surrounded my base with a fence.

And the scorpion couldn't find his way like you said. The game will lag immediately.

So I put it to the test, removed the fence, and deliberately gave the enemy a path to attack the wall.

The result is that it worked. Games don't freeze.
