Armor panels on Control Tower

They adds to it's HP.
I never noticed.

Feel dumb, but maybe somebody else didn't notice and struggles with Control Tower constantly dying.

At best, if nothing glitches out you can boost HP from 2000 to 3200 (usually 2800, since placements on sides are not aligned as properly as on other walls). Not much, but can help.

I use armored walls all around it with the aegis panels (upgraded armor panel). Makes it very tanky. I have them going all the way to the top of the tower and at the top you have to go through the door i put to get out unless u jump over the 1 wall high-wall heh.

The tower should have an button to bring you to the top... aside from the grappling hook - how get on top?

If you build up to the floor below its top you can jump onto it from the front.

Not sure how you did it, but for me the only nodes that register are under the front and back middle dot, and the rear left and right. So with walls, 2800 or with pillars, 3200. Couldn't ever get more than those four spots to give any boost. Pillars interestingly only work on the sides on the node one from the middle, when the walls are rear middle lol.

You should also have access to springboards pretty quick. They give the perfect height to jump you from the bottom to the top if they are just one tile up from the bottom of the tower. (3 tile jump)

For me it allows the placement of 3 panels to the left of the tower and 2 to the right - the lowest on the right complains about floor tile under the tower. So 3000HP :D You just need to place them directly on the tower, where your batteries would usually go, no need to build a wall there.

I tried making some weird stuff like building small floor tiles under the tower, but it still complains. It doesn't like the very edge for some reason.

UPD: I didn't try with pillars enough :D Tried your pillars placement and my plates and it's 4000HP. Could be 4200. but I don't want one side be more armoured.

You don't need to add walls. If you do and then place armour on the added walls - it'll improve only wall HP.

You place armour directly on the tower - you can do so to the back left and back right part of it. Technically you should be able to add 3 armour panels on both sides (one on each floor), but something is a bit bugged and the ones on the first floor may complain about surrounding stuff, so you'll brobably be able to place only 2 on each side.

To use pillars you need to move your control tower to the second floor and build them underneath. For some reason the placement that Valkerion suggested register just fine even through floor, thus allowing 4 pillars to affect tower's health.

I gave this a go and noticed the third wall on the bottom can't be placed cause the tower aparently isn't properly centered on the tiles. Tower is raised one level to give enough room for the third set of panels but on one side it collides with the floor panel under the tower because the tower is slighty off to the side.

not really an issue now main reason was the railgun guy use to aim for the top of your tower but now he wont so you dont need to do this so much

Yeah, not really an issue anymore. But still, buffed up health is somewhat cool.
