Outer Perimiter : Turrets with barriers infront to keep them safe and Advanced Autoloaders
Inner Perimiter : Factorio conveyor madness with advanced ammo makers
Center Perimiter : Storage and Batteries in lines. Every wall is a mix of Utility and Generic Panels
Everything is accesible from the inside to fend off enemies if they get access to the base
conveyor fed item stack condenser. Dump items from above the room to the left and they get funnelled on the belt into the mules. since each mule pick what they can out of it, the item stacks eventually end up full and ready to be sent efficiently via drone.
Like that setup tho imo it's too much as you are then clearly building way to many ammo boxes and gonna have an insane surplus in the warehouse later
Same xDD I love this game but i suck at designing outpost xD
Good conveyor design dictates that the ammo makers feed into a second and shorter conveyor that feeds the hell fires in a circular motion. Ideally ammo makers should be placed near the top of the base, and the over flow dropped DOWN to the floors below to feed other conveyors. Conveyors need to operate in loops. It's possible to make conveyors take ammo UP floors, using ramps, but it's janky.
I dunno .. i feed my hellfires using trap walls and have never had a problem with ammo. Shells i find far more difficult to keep up with since i tend to move the twin 105s to smaller targets at later stages
