Game keeps forcing my PC to shut off
Is this a bug or something. I know it aint my system, or the settings, as I can play using the near highest settings with no lag. Parts with bugs dont lag. It just happens out of the blue, ruining the game as of now.

Am I the only one? I'd like to play

Are your sure your Power supply isnt trying to take a dump on you? I had an issue like that and thought it was DCS but then my power supply let all the life out of itself. Not trying to down your system or anything just saying, might be something to look into?

I dont have this issue with any other game, even some more demanding. So I'd bet it wouldn't be that

This game tends to max out a lot of the PC components. Cpu and Gpu so you could still be having a issue with something not getting enough power. Either that or your over heating one of your PC items. Try reducing graphics options.

You see this alot, and it sounds right on paper, until you realize you don't know what you're talking about. A game looking better doesn't mean a game's more demanding.

But yea if your pc shuts off and not just windows crashing, that's hardware tripping. Now this can be as easy as making sure your connections are properly connected, or range anywhere from your hardware has a fault somewhere typically within the psu or the gpu. Which isn't to say that this can't be fixed by software by not having your hardware being driven as hard either via downclocking yourself or fixing whatever causing the software to require this much power.

I mean, I never stated I knew stuff lol. It may be windows turning off as my MB and Graphics card stay on as it resets. Graphics changing didnt help, and it crashed in the same spot. Also the bug page even states stuffs crashing here or there. Thanks for the help tho, all I can do is wait for some updates.

If your PC is turning off it's something wrong with the PC. You could check your GPU temps with a hardware monitor and the event log to find out what died.

Yeah - do you have the ALT+Z overlay to show your GPU temp?

I game on Omen Laptops with RTX 3070 - the only other game that gets hotter is helldivers.

It only happened to me once when the game got released. Was modifying my outpost and the game just made my whole PC shut down too. The game was suffering from multiple issues day one.
Like crashing just by interacting the minimap on tour mode.
But now, with all the patches I haven't encountered that issue once. Also, since it was early game, I avoid to modify my outpost until a few patch came out.
Might be something that either the game or unreal engine is doing something odd.

Just to add, I am on a desktop very well ventilated and not low specs PC with an UPS. So, I really doubt it was from my hardware.
The game might crash something on windows end too.
My only solution for you is to seek their support in Discord and report that to them for investigation. As this isn't normal behavior, they are quite responsive.

full blown computer shutdown really only happen in case of a failsafe being triggered, generally either heat or power related issue.

I have had this happen too, and it doesn't look like a hardware issue at all. If you go into windows event viewer it says this is the reason my PC restarted:

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000154 (0xffff9c05c73ac000, 0xffffdb0d25428700, 0x0000000000000001, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: f3920fcf-3fe4-40fc-a8a9-06e7c82f4cea.

The UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION bug check has a value of 0x00000154. This bug check indicates that the kernel memory store component caught an unexpected exception.

To many people are insufferable know it all's.

you included lmao, going off on YOUR problem already assuming it's the same issue being had by the discussion poster's with zero hints that it is even remotely similar except that the pc shutdown

this game eats CPU hardcore unlike most other games, what is yours?

There where comments saying that full blown computer shutdowns where heat and power issues. This memory problem has been going on for a long time. The errors you get are often "Video memory" errors, sometimes instead of getting a memory error you get the reboot, which also relates to a kernal memory store error. Its not heat or power related for the most part.

Anyone could have aske him for his logs rather than dismissing him when he didnt think it was a hardware issue.

But stuff like that is 99 times out of 100 a hardware issue, but the crash dumps make it look like a software fault. The reason the software threw a fault is because of a hardwear issue. like lack of power or overheating.

Unless it happening on a lot of people systems its unlikely to be a software issue.

The best thing to do is to either turn off auto reboot on blue screen and make a not of the error. Or use Bluescreen Viewer to see the logs.
if its the same error every time then it may be a software fault. But if its different most of the time then its probably hardware.
