The "mixed" came in the first 1-3 days where they needed to fix somethings. Which they did very very quickly. People over react.
I personally think it's worth the money.
It objectively, has issues still which is why many people are saying to give it time. It's only been out a month and devs can only work so fast.
Edit: For some reason theyve just spent 2 days arguing that the game doesnt have any more negative reviews (Look at the store page yourself). Make your decision there, the forums are always biased.
For instance, now it's much easier to loot stuff, collecting lumber is gone (it just adds to your inventory automatically after cutting a tree), a lot of loot was resized to be a bit smaller in your inventory, a lot of hard to get loot seems to be more abundant now, endless mode is much more balanced and proftable than it was before.
The last bit of campaign is not there also as of now - there's an extra biome on the map that we cannot access, the story just stops when we should've gone and do the epic last push. Some systems seem like placeholders mostly - the whole dispatch thing, where you could send your operatives on missions, feels like a proof of concept at best.
I'd say it's still worth it, but yeah, the work is not done. It still feels like Early Access here and there.
It's not false at all: the game had a TERRIBLE launch, but with the first two patches they basically fixed the most crucial issues.
Even then the team kept releasing more than 20 updates in less than a week to further improve the game, both stability and gameplay wise.
I've been playing this game every day since launch and I'm enjoying it very much, it's not perfect by any means, but it's a ton of fun, it's unique and the price for the base version feels almost as a steal considering how much content is there already.
Go look at the reviews right now and you'll see they're still coming in. Roughly 10-40 a day, whilst positive is getting slightly more so per day, which means mixed reviews. Lying won't help the game.
Moving on from that, I hope they can continue to improve the game as it a great concept and has some very fun features, it just needs some polishing which they do seem to be working on, so as many others have already said. Give it a little time, the dev's are working pretty fast.
Nobody is lying nor trying to hide anything as there is literally no point; simply put most people are happy with what the game is delivering already, and I'm not really sure why you keep trying your hardest to point that it's getting negative review, while despite being in mixed as of now, it's 65% which is more than half, and it will improve as the time passes and the game is polished.
Frankly speaking I don't understand why you must discourage people for trying a game you don't even own so you can't really judge how much the game has improved since launch.
In any case @OP, judge for yourself, either wait for the game or try it, after all steam has a refund system in place (albeit two hours will show you almost nothing the game has to offer, due to how the progression is geared).
This ^, judge the game for yourself based on the reviews from people who have played the game and left a positive or negative review. Not people on the forum who are going to be incredibly biased as is true for literally every game forum ever.
Have you considered, maybe I refunded the game? You're still trying to manipulate the conversation. The facts are that more than 1/3 of the game's players gave it a negative review and roughly that amount are still giving it negative reviews. I never said "most" people aren't having fun, simply pointed out that people do still have issues with the game and if you're unsure it's best to wait a little while (until the reviews balance out).
Why have you replied repeatedly to try and twist the facts? It's okay to admit a game isn't perfect, I even pointed out how they're working fast and mentioned the positives. Judging by your playtime, you're in the initial hype phase still where you don't want criticism to ruin it, so I'm unsubbing this thread, not wasting anymore time arguing with someone acting as a brick wall to feedback.
Edit: This guy called me a keyboard warrior after I explicitly stated I unsubbed the thread, he still had to get the last word in. The projection is so real he even went and gave out jesters lol
First, since you have refunded the game, you clearly cannot be as informed as players who stayed with the game and felt the improvements first hand.
Second, I have never manipulated the conversation, nor twisted the fact, nor I said the game is perfect (in fact I pointed out how the game is by no means perfect nor finished), what I pointed out was that the game was already in a solid state, and most importantly fun to play.
In any case I'm tired of your mental gymnastic and trying to accuse people of BS I couldn't be bothered about, I just gave my two cents to OP. I don't want my weekend to be ruined by some random keyboard warrior.
A lot of bugs you can see trough.. if you don't overthink everything..
Multiplayer is sh!t..
playing co-op is just giving a bad time right now.
Thats the info I was looking for, thank you.
Yea sorry i was short on my post..
Let me explain a little :D
In solo play everything runs smooth and the bugs are neglectable.
Yes there are A LOT of quality of life functions missing, but it's playable and enjoyable.
A lot of things in the game are... alright... if you don't think too much about it
Multiplayer however.. For the host of the game it's pretty much everything said above.
But all of the co-op players are just having a bad time.
Enemies not in sync.. visibly walking somewhere where they are actually not..
Or just invisible or flying around...
Chasers normally jump around you, but in multiplayer they glitch/teleport.
Co-op players also don't get a lot of the rewards you fight for as a party.. most of it only goes to the host.
Also research and dispatch missions only work for the host. co-op players don't get any results on this.
Only the host is able to see missions and their rewards at the war table.. while co-op players just wait in boredom for the next mission to start.
And there is much more.. to show that single player is playable but still janky and missing a lot of qol..
While multiplayer is just unbearable for all the co-op players
I have been playing the game since it came out and I have a lot of hours in the game. I think the game is in an excellent spot right now. The last issue I had was the low drop rate for some items and they just balanced that and it is so much better now on that front. The game is fun and I love the game play loop and with the balances you can see progress pretty quick now. The base construction is very fun and the extraction process with the base defense looks great and is fun to participate in. I can't give any feedback on the multiplayer experience as I play solo only but for the solo aspect I would recommend it as it is now. Also if you look at the reviews as recommended from another poster the game is Mostly Positive from recent reviews.
Hope this helps.
