City Ruins 2
Can someone please show me what these emp pylons look like on recovery day? Who shoots them? I've lost this stage twice so far simply because i can't find the damn pylon.

I think you're looking for Tanks (Half robot on treads with a mortar on the shoulder) they shoot those emp things when you have the EMI risk incident. Ciws will target the mortars and emps down if you set em on missiles.

They're blue, they glow, and might have a bubble. At any rate ciws will shoot them down if you prioritize missiles, which at the very least some should always be set to.

Either that, or they are referring to the thing a Kronos might fire which looks like a slow missile coming from the main gun on its head. That latches onto the outpost and disables everything. You can shoot them mid air. There used to be an issue where even blowing it out of the sky still caused the EMP effect to occur, I think that has since been fixed.

So to hopefully answer the question: Kronos launches them (glowy missile from the main cannon), shoot them or let CIWS/Hellfires shoot at them. Beyond that, Tanks sometimes shoot EMPs as Night (939) explained via EMI risk. Set your configs for the turrets to hit large/massive/missile as a priority (if they have the range, tanks have like 8k range or more for their upgraded variants).

Thanks for the replies guys. I've got all my CIWS set to attack anything that moves. I'm guessing i didn't keep up with ammo .. certainly possible .. I've started prioritizing moving back to my base when the heavy's show up so i can burn them down as fast as possible. I'll be on the lookout for the blue glowy things

I configure my CIWS to put missiles as their highest priority.

I set a CIWS to only prioritize missles and it seems to have done the trick. On to City 3. Thank you
