Game worth getting now?
Was watching this game for awhile, was disappointed and turned off from the game on release day as there was obviously a lot of issues. Does the game work well now? I don't care about minor stuff just game breaking things.

Additionally another concern I have is the general gameplay loop. I, like a lot of other people, saw the trailers of making a big base and shooting a bunch of baddies in fps and thought that looked awesome. However it seems there is a large focus on the weird "exploration/extraction" gameplay focused around gathering materials that doesn't seem very fun to me. Additionally there seems to be some concerns around grinding and RNG based around this system for progression. Is this an issue that gets in the way of the big battles?

I know the story and VA aren't good but that isn't a problem for me as long as bad VA isn't overly present in gameplay.

Devs seem to have updated this game a lot in the past week which is great, but should I wait a month or two for everything to be fixed? Or is the game fun now?

So the english va seems to be AI where as the chinese va's aren't.

they made it where you can pretty much instant most expeditions only really need to manually explore to progress quests, get the blueprints, and high level loot items. so if you only really explore the radio tower nodes in tours you are fine.

i've never really encountered a game breaking bug so no comment there from me.

they also are doing like 2 patches a day.

Game is working fine now. There is a focus on gathering and looting, but this can be fairly quick (about 2 minutes-5 per zone depending on how many points of interest spawn) and if you join other lobbies or if you set your own lobby to public a zone gets emptied as if a bunch of locusts flew over. You will be in and out of every zone in 2 minutes.

Nothing gets in the way of big battles. But if you want all the fancy turrets in your base then it will require some grinding. Once you unlocked the blueprint its fairly easy to start building multiple of the same turret.

As for story, personally I actually like it. I think the world setting is quite interesting with how the outposts are setup. Voice acting could be better, but honestly its still better than just being pure text dialogue.

there are still a ton of bugs the worst of it are loot related to enemies getting stuck. but the core gameplay and features already shines bright.

its a slow starter that significantly gets better and more complex as you play. farming aKa Tours can be boring but there are methods to optimize it like a good looter game.

voices are fine? better than nothing. i've heard worse. like in xenoblade 2 but grew to like them anyways. your personal AI companion(waifu) voice work in eng is quite good actually. my only gripe is the guardian and mech voices in eng. please please replace them lmao.

Story is a solid A+ for effort. they could easily cheap out and just spam defense missions but they did not and actually put commendable effort.

also. after almost 60hrs of testing. you absolutely need FSR frame generation turned ON for smooth fps. RX 5000/ALL Nvidia RTX cards can do it. but its absurdly good specifically on RX 6000/7000 series AMD cards because of the infinity cache. anything lower than cards mentioned is a bad time.
