How do you efficiently deal with the power resource?
Greetings. I'm having quite some trouble trying to manage correctly power: moving already consumes a ton, which not only limits me the total number of areas I can explore, but also its usage in said areas (i.e. opening a door or crafting a bonus turrets).

Is there a way to have more power, or a way to charge it mid tour? For the matter I'm doing the "find monica" mission, so I'm still at the beginning, I'm taking it slowly in order to learn better the game.

Consume 25 electricity to clear large wreckage (tanks and helicopters) and get 300 resource points.
Consume 300 resource points to get 30 electricity (core skills and general generator)
Some level-clearing skill cards can increase the number of recovered wreckage (x30%)

you need to get batteries, LOTS of them
_Patrick Swayze Mar 30, 2024 @ 12:18pm
Craft batteries and place them on your outpost, they increase power by +5 each.
Derpy Kubrow Mar 30, 2024 @ 12:23pm
Early game batteries, Convert material into power ect.
Later on you can unlock a device that turns unwanted items into either energy or materials.
When you get those you will be fine considering that 1 stack of ore gets you 50 material there about.

Tip for energy/material control: your turrets, walls, support and items all decrease your maximum caps. It refers to them as Energy/material use: level 20 ect. the level for some reason is the amount of energy/material cap that gets used up.

Place Titan Spikes on the tiles of your Outpost at the tour start. If you place them on the tiles - they will travel with you on the other maps. And each increase max energy by 20 I think, plus expanding your field radius and since your outpost mines stuff automatically in it's radius - it'll increase your free material generation. And materials can be converted into energy, just as CommaTang says.

For increasing energy during the tour follow other advices here.

Also near some towers you may find wire plug and a generator - connect the plug to your outpost, climb the tower with the generator, grab the orb that'll be there and throw the orb into the generator (from the top). That'll give you ~30 energy.

Harvesting wreckages - mostly Huge ones 25 = 300 material and converting them. Big ones are also good 18 = 200 and the 10 = 100. Trees are only worth it if you get 2 times the material collecting +30% bonus. 6 = 45 and 3 = 24 if im right. but each energy point should give you more than 10 materials. below or equal will not work to raise your storages. maybe there will be another technology or upgrade to change this.

pushing the core limit can also help at the beginning of each day. Like mentioned building on your tiles will save a lot of ressources.

You can also Harvest (Car)Tires for free (no Energie Cost).
Gives you Fiber and 10 material each.

-- 40 mat. per Car
-- Parkinglot POI has 4-5 Cars
-- "Laborunion" PIO also 4-5

Just Dump the Fiber if need be and convert the mat. to Energie.

Hey thanks to everyone, I really appreciate all the advices so far! I didn't know you could convert materials into energy *facepalm* I take you do it from the generator behind the core?

Wait so if you build something on the outpost even if temporarily, it will stay for the whole tour? This is huge and didn't know it, thanks!

Are you talking about the chargers? I saw some kind of cylinder, with a wire attached to it, and on the other end some kind of plug. I tried to attach it to the outpost core and I picked up the orb, but didn't understand what to do with it. When you say to throw the orb into the generator, do you mean on top of that cylinder?

Trees are also a good source if you have the said device. 1 Tree costs 6 Energy and gives you 40 resources and 3 logs. 3 logs convert into 6 energy.
So you basically gain 40 resources for free. After 4 trees you can then convert the resources into 15 energy.

Yes.
Basejump from the Tower and throw it "up" or go ontop of the cylinder/Generator Jump/Double-jump and throw it upwarts.
Hight = Energie

-> after success def at the end instead of jumping strait into the jumpship chop trees until your inventory is full ( 6 energy per tree 52 resources back -> you can chop a lot of trees with conversions) means you can have so many storage boxes makes it a lot easier to not acdentaly go over the res cap from enemy kils during the defense

Should be about anything you can build onto the outpost remain for the whole tour, except like throwing claymores onto it (I tried lol). Also to add what others didn't mention, you can use map/strategic mode to click your tower/power bank to quickly activate the 300:30 and 150:15 conversions, if you get more power banks you can also just hit the skill multiple times as it will auto switch between them as you hit the button.

For the generator, you need to throw the ball from a distance to get more charge out of it, and make it into the top in that one throw. It's a bit of a hassle at times but I've gotten nearly 40 energy out of it once (you get double what it says the charge is). And make sure the plug touches your main tower first. When I throw the orb from the top of the tower I didn't get very good charge, usually the map always has a nearby object to climb and throw from, and will give you good charge. Don't bother climbing the tower twice if you miss from up there. The energy you get is based on distance not height.

I'll have to see if I'll be able to do it since there is a timer (about 1 min iirc?) were you have toreach the jumpship in time, but thanks for the tip!

Interesting, I'll definitely be doing it, especially since my current outpost is still at its default layout (don't have enough materials to add new walls/platforms). Thanks!

Yeah I suck with this but I'll try just for the free energy bonus, thanks!

Easy and Fast infinite power

Simply go out and punch/shoot trees (dont harvest with your drill, that takes power). trees have about 2k health... punching trees rapidly you'll take a tree down in seconds... each trees gives about 50-80 resources... destroy 3-4 trees to reach at least 150 resources, then go to a generator, convert resources to Power.... rinse repeat...

but there's a cooldown on the generator conversion.... that's why you need 4...
It's not super necessary but it'll help going fast, so Have about 4 power generators in your base (the terminal where you can convert Resources to power) by the time you collected trees and converted them 4 times, the first converter's cool down should be done... and you continue converting...

BOOM infinite power, fast and super easy access... i just completed a level 3 difficulty map in the winter... and i managed to explore EVERY zones one by one... never ran out of power... in fact i wasted power so much doing scans and forcing doors lol

LOL didn't know you could punch them to harvest resources, akin to how yous tart with minecraft or survival games in general!

Thanks for the advice!
