Lockpicking confusion

So yeah i've used the lockpicks picked up during expeditions, but one of the first tech skills i researched was "Lockpick", what does it do? how do i activate it in game? i just checked the crafting section and nothing, no option to make them.

unlocks the option of crafting lockpicks yourself

specifically, you go to "research center" and talk with "Yulia" to "manifacture [1]" the 2nd tab called "Items" where you can see the green quality item "lockpick" needing 2 "fiber" and 1 "scrap metal"

You can just melee a lock pick door if your short on picks

depending on the door, yes. Often, its worthwhile just breaking down the door. provided the chasers arent a danger to you

Brake the door that have 600 or 200 Hp. Sens RNG sometime give nothing in the room or place.

anything less than 20k hp is nothing, 90k not bad either, just find a fire barrel, does around 21k dmg

Ofc, you can also just shoot it with abilities or normal bullets

or shoot it if your even more impatient like me shame they prepared for this by making the doors for some locks (the ones you need to find a switch and the energy container one) all but impossible like sure you could spend all day on it but even im not that stubborn

Barrels are good enough lockpick, 2k damage per barrel. But in the manufacturing area where you assemble turrets and such. There's a tab for Items you can switch to that lets you assemble consumable and advanced materials.
