How do I repair stuff?

The tutorial had me use some gun to repair the base, but now that I do campaign, I cant find that gun anywhere? How am I supposed to repair my base when something gets damaged during combat?

There's a XEN booster that repairs, it commonly comes on the command core gun with the beam. Later there's a healing grenade launcher, that also repairs the base. Finally there's an Event that will give your base components a slow heal over timer.

There's also a Healing beam heavy weapon you can find in I believe only one place (The 2 connected lab buildings, where one is locked behind a THI card and the other is unlocked) but I haven't seen it spawn in the City version of the map, only the Snow version.

If you want to keep the healing laser around rather than holding onto it yourself you can switch the laser out with a weapon on either a base turret or a guardian (personally I'd use a guardian since it doesn't effect your base defences)

Speaking from experience, the healing Xen that comes with command cores is the most effective healing option in the game.

The laser that you get with the "support" repair guardian variant is very slow to heal anything (not useless, but slow). So you could wait 5 seconds to have a wall healed 1000 points, or heal the same wall 2000 points in 1 shot with the command core healing Xen that AoE heals other surrounding objects.

You heal better using mend on any other bullet type than beam. try scatter its amazing. Beam just sorta sucks pretty much everywhere.

The repair laser can also be added to the Supporter. And auto fires at damaged components within a small radius.
