Vanguard edition has exclusive turrets?
Am I seeing that right? That's kinda really scummy. Especially given you can't upgrade to vanguard or buy the turrets as DLC.

I am lowly skilled so hoping the difference is just work. Otherwise pay to win is a no for me. I have 42 min. of playtime so i'm holding off from playing for a few hours, and subscribed to this discussion.

Pay to win what, it's PVE and Co-Op with your friends. What are we paying to win? It's effectively DLC, If you want it, pay the extra $10 to start with, support the studio that made the game, If they were going to be scummy they could have charged you $60 and then $120 for the Deluxe Ultimate Operator edition. But they didn't, instead they decided to reward those that put their faith in the game with two additional units and some cosmetics. Made it affordable for even a teenager working a summer job and called it a day.
paying to make beating higher difficulties easier

Should have bought the DLC if the game is that hard for you. I mean we can only hope no one is presented with a challenge in today's world, we would hate for something to be difficult.

see u just explained the issue selling a dlc that makes the game easier is a bad practice and is pay to win thank you for proving the point of the post. not to mention there is no option to even upgrade to the pay to win u had to buy it outright or sucks to suck

Guess you should have got good to begin with, Sorry its not war thunder. Sucks to suck. Since its not a PVP Game, give 10 minutes there will be a mod for that. Then you will be able to dial it down to your level. You can't pay to win a PVE Game. Those of us that paid the extra $10 probably didn't do so to make it an easier experience, we saw a reasonably priced game from a smaller dev team and decided to support them, I can care less about a CWIS, what I want is the game to succeed and the Dev team to have the money they need to be successful. Next time don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

On second thought, I don't mind it being too difficult for me, the game is fun, and the idea of it is worth supporting. No refund in mind here.

At best they make your life easier but I'm guessing they do fall off at a certain point, It's really p2w as there is no winning lmao

tho I do regret not getting them purely due to variety
LDream Mar 31, 2024 @ 3:22pm
You actually won't have a clear advantage by buying the Vanguard edition, damage per second of the two turrets are about the same, and they are not ammo-hungry turrets, saving a few rounds in a battle won't make any difference

wells, it sucks but there cant be a p2w on a full pve game cuz you are no beating anyone but you, its like use cheats and the crybabies that wanted an anticheat, there is no need for.
the cwis are the same thing but on different skin, and the viper changes its fire rate but also its damage amount, viper shoots fastes piercing while double fires a more powerfull aoe pyro shot, on the end, they re almost the same to

From my impressions of playing and using them, they're practically identical to the base game turrets and are simply cosmetic.
Still doesn't change the fact they are using FOMO tactics which is still a crappy move. So I do hope that after the timer goes down they will add them as DLC to still buy them until the end of times, even if they are slightly marked up in price vs what they cost now.

the only real advantage the vanguard edition gives is that they get separate settings for virtually the same turret... one focuses small and med the other focus missiles and to be honest i use the standard cwis more.
