Seriously... what is with the goalie?

Ok. Come on. The player's goalie just needs to be redone. Years have gone by now and it is just the same crap. The player's goalie is just a joke. At first it was 2 mph shots going 5 hole. Then it was the blue line lobs that outfoxed Butcher. Now he gives up rebounds that beer league'ers would pay for. Or some combination of all of these.

This plays into the "difficulty" of expert mode. I've been playing for a long time now, and I've learned that no matter the player's skill do not expect more than a 20 percent win rate on expert. Because at the end of the day, the things that make expert 'hard' are: the goalie, poor RNG, benchwarmer stats, the goalie, stupid player team AI, and did I mention the F'ing goalie? Any one of these can kill a run at any point.

What is with the occasional goalie letting in 4 goals on 5 blue line shots. I mean... suit me up, I can stop those. Even if I've had amazing RNG, with perfect stats and power ups that complement each other perfectly, the goal having a smoke mid period is what will end me. The best part, you have no control over the goalie... still to this day.

I swear I've caught my goal BEHIND the F'ing net while the other team shoots from THEIR blue line.

Again... super great game if you just like a slap stick humor type game. Not for those who want to get good.

I just completed my first run on standard and it was my second run in the game overall. Thought that there must be more to this game and decided to up the difficulty and after trying a few runs I had to come and check if it's just me or is the goalie just useless.

I can dominate the game on the offense, not score a goal and opponent just slaps one shot from the blue line immediately after crossing it and it's in. This must be one of the worst ways to up the difficulty I've ever seen. FIFA and NHL level ♥♥♥♥ where the AI just gets forced free goals. I'd rather be trailing by two or three goals from the start and have a decent goalie in the net

EDIT: Adding to this, I just beat my first expert run and during this run I lost four of those challenge matches where the first team to score wins. Every single one of those losses was due to the opponent's first shot going in.

Getting 30 against 5 shots on goal and still losing because of your own goalie is ass while the opponents goalie plays like he is the flash is just not fun.
