We need more defensive options

Hi all,

first of all a really nice game you put together. It is a lot of fun, however it is missing some defensive options.

It would be really nice of the defensive players could throw themselves to the ground to stop shots if you manage to get between the attacker and the goal. A button to perfom this would be great.

Also the defender should be able to try to sweep away the puck from the attacker if he is attacking from the front. This works sometimes with collisions, but it would be much nicer if you had a button to actively swipe for the puck. Right now it feels really random.

I think defensive play would be much for fun with these additional moves.

I totally agree with this, more defensive options is the thing I missed right away. Would be great to have those.

Better swapping character ingame would benefit a lot aswel, cause that's still a painful issue

Has shot blocking been included? New to game, and can't see it on the controls one the settings

Yes, there is something like that now I think. It should be L1 or R1 if using a Playstation controller. Or the buttons above triggers on an Xbox controller.

Sweep Away the puck - AKA Poke Check! For Sure! Even NHL 04 had Poke Check.

Tape 2 Tape has knee down defence on the bumpers. Left Bumper = Left Defence / Right Bumper = Right Defence. Maybe a mash of both should drop the player to the ice. Dropping to defend a pass is a fundamental aspect of playing hockey.

I'd appreciate if team mates would be more active even if not controlled by me. Some checks would be nice. Right now they seem more like training dummies.
