This game wears its inspirations on its sleeve, from the SC:BW design parallels to Star Trek and Battlestar references (one of the factions is literally called Sylons... it's not subtle) and probably more.

The UI is tiny and the hotkeys make almost no sense. The voice acting is terrible, sadly not even in a particularly funny way but more in the "sounds like AI" sort of way, and I haven't played enough to have an opinion on the story, though it sure starts a lot like the SC1 Terran campaign so far.

But, if you're a fan of oldschool RTS with asymmetrical factions, and you don't have any cares to give for multiplayer because there is absolutely 0 of that here, this is a great and faithful modern entry, right down to the sometimes questionable pathfinding. The base game campaign is somewhere around 90 missions long, so you've got plenty to sink your teeth into for your buck.
