Building a roundhouse

I just want to say how impressive this building system can be I had the idea to build a roundhouse (with a tall post in the centre and medium posts for outer wall) and it looks so nice with just the roof timbers on its almost a shame to put the roof on. Much easier to do than I expected too...

This play through Im ignoring the storyline and just doing "survival" so I have more time to explore the building possibilities.

I have been wanting to do a round house too. I always do the story first then on to fancy building! Are you building off the map to avoid the blight?

Building off map would have been a good idea; I wish that had occurred to me LOL- next time!

That is a cool idea, ill have to try that. I would assume the ability to be off map is a mis step and will be corrected at some point no?

I have yet to see a comment on the topic from the developer. In a way it doesn’t look like he has really tried to prevent access to the rest of the world at all, whereas he could have put up an invisible wall or made the playable area a single island with nothing else beyond. But that is hardly a guarantee that things will stay this way.

I hope not, its a nice quirky possibility that a lot of us might miss if it were to be "corrected".

Please no, why limit the world to a small map, it's currently endless and much more fun.

I made a standard square room with one wall short for a doorway. Connected all with beams and could not place a roof. I did have a beam over the door. Any ideas?
