Picking Up from Stockpiles??

How do I pick up from stockpiles?

You can open the inventory of the stockpile by clicking left mouse button on it, I believe the tooltip should say 'LMB Examine' or something to that effect when you mouse-over the stockpile.

In order to move items to and from the stockpile with this inventory menu open the most straightforward control is to click and drag the items to or from the stockpile inventory.
There are also 3 other key-combinations for quick transfer, but bear in mind that the action can be slightly different if you use it on your character inventory or on the stockpile inventory:
SHIFT+LMB: In the character inventory this will transfer all the items in the stack that you clicked on to the stockpile. In the stockpile inventory this will (try to) transfer all the items in the stockpile to your inventory, since for this purpose the stockpile behaves as 'one stack'.
SHIFT+ALT+LMB: In the character inventory this will transfer half of the stack that you clicked on to the stockpile. In the stockpile inventory this will (try to) transfer half of the stockpile stockpile to your inventory.
SHIFT+CTRL+LMB: This will move a single item from the stack that you clicked on to or from the stockpile.
