Where is Elric's camp?

For some reason I cannot see it on the map after I got the first slime...

It stays in the same cave for every step of the main quest (implemented so far, that is).

I have never seen it either as the mark seems to be too wee, where is this cave is it towards the middle of the map or a particular edge, like the swamp is always opposite to the island?

As far as I know it's the nearest cave to your fire pit when he visits you. Shouldn't be hard to find if you zoom in around that area, it's an X with a long text label.

I am also having trouble finding his cave. I see an X marked “home” across the lake from my camp, but it is completely surrounded by blight with no way in. I can’t find any other X, so I have to assume that’s Elric’s cave, but I have no access to it because it is completely engulfed in the blight .

That "home" was the village you once lived at. Elric is in a cave somewhere.

i think my game might be bugged.. i found the cave, 100% the right location.. if received the note.. talked to elric at my camp.. collected the slime from the swamp.. went to the cave.. empty.

Check the area above the cave. I thought this had been fixed, but there was/has been a bug where he wouldn't correctly spawn at the right level.
