Salinity not changing
My soaking basin says it is too salty at 19%. I had expected this to go down as water evaperated and I added more water but it hasnt. Is there a way to lower the salinity?

Prob add more water, or you'll have to wait for it to dry out and remove the salt to start over

Oh, from the OP... Salinity will actually go UP as water evaporates, not down. The less water, the higher salinity

wait til all the water is gone and you can take out all the salt and add it back in with new water/ from what I can tell 11% is best.

If you don’t want to wait for it to evaporate you can probably dismantle it and rebuild it, but I would save before trying that in case the salt gets dissolved or interacts weirdly with the ground when it breaks apart.

It's also not really that critical. As the water evaporates and then is refilled, the salinity goes up and down and doesn't seem to have a huge effect on the process. Salt does not evaporate so as the water evaporates the amount of salt remains the same but the water is reduced. When you refill it, it goes back up to what it was before.
