Gates
Wolves and such can just walk through gates. Is there any way to secure them? Seems unusable to put a gate on your camp if they can just walk right in anyway.

You need to lock your gates. When they're close just click on them and it'll say "locked".

I placed a item (in my case a standing torch, but can use anything even a stockpile placed in the right place) to use as a stopper, I can use the gates and only open them enough for myself to enter/exit, rabbits can enter but anything larger can not.
I have found that hostile mobs will attack walls and gates if they can not get past, putting logs as a "fence" works to prevent this you can place them far apart enough that you can walk between, but anything bigger then a rabbit can not. the hostile animals can not attack placed logs either
you can also climb over the logs if needed.

Camp is fully fenced off but I keep getting bears inside at least twice a day. Are the spawning inside?!?

I am not sure, my Log fence is only a player body width away from my structure walls and have yet to have any animals spawn inside, might just be RNG tho.

I haven’t had a fully-enclosed camp in a long time (if ever; I use water as a natural obstacle), but I don’t think the game prevents them from spawning anywhere except in water, in caves, and probably within a certain radius from the player. Feels like any piece of ground the player isn’t looking at is fair game. I’ve seen bears on islands barely big enough to contain them, where there used to be none, just standing there helplessly.

Even in the place where you are looking, the animal can spawn.
I have seen a few times: I am running along the path with a cart. Then two wolves appear in the distance near the road. It happened right where I was looking.

I wasn’t being entirely literal, but yes that happens frequently when loading/rendering chunks of terrain during travel. I’ve never seen an animal just appear out of thin air while the character is stationary, though.

Edit: Well, as luck would have it, I just had a wolf pop up some distance away while I was digging in place.

After I build my fences and keep gates locked when I'm nor around. No animal was able to enter in my place.

I have a half walls build with sticks and mud, nothing fancy.

J'ai vu un ours apparaître dans la mer, là où l'eau peu profonde n'empêche pas de poser des poteaux ( là où l'on voit un peu le sable sous l'eau)

I wish the gates had a "close" or "open" tab (like the lock unlock) instead of pushing/open shut almost had my gate shut and stupid coyote pushed in before I could lock it.
