I cannot mine iron because the caves are too deep.

I've tried everything I can think of. I can place a floor, but that does nothing. I can place posts, and I can set the support beams on them but I can't build the support beams, I think because the "level" I'm sitting at is -1, so I can't click to build.

I have tried a crate, so that I stand on it when hitting 'E' but that doesn't get me high enough.

I have also gone in with an inventory full of dirt to try and build up, but since the caves aren't dirt, nothing triggers the ability to add dirt on top.

It's this way in all three of the caves I have discovered, which is really discouraging. I can't find any more caves. The three caves I've found go really deep and have a ton of resources but I can't get out... so I'm really stuck with no way of finding Iron. I've discovered all of the cliff faces on the map and have no way of getting out of caves... so what's next?

I just tried this for quite some time and I just can't seem to get it. Sometimes I can get up onto the path, but it's just too short to get the climb button to work. And then if I can get it just a few pixels higher he can't get onto the ramp. I'm trying to get some sort of pile to help me but it's not. Maybe I'm reading the guide wrong. I wish there was a video of it out there on the internet that I could find!
