But yesterday I actually found out the actual reason why it´s crashing. The game "randomly" spikes to 100% CPU usage for longer periods of time. This ramps up the CPU Temp and the computer shuts down when it gets too hot. I downloaded a program called core temp to monitor my CPU temperatures during those spikes. During the shorter spikes CPU temp would go up to 80°-90° C before starting to cool down again. But the longer spikes actually drove my CPU temp to 100° which caused my system to shut down to prevent damage.
Not only is it unplayable because of the frequent crashes, but it could actually damage your computer´s CPU. Hope this gets fixed soon, otherwise this game is not worth the risk to my computer.
It was.
I'm kinda pissed steam wont let me refund because I was "over the 2 hour mark." I really don't see how that time limit applies when the game is so poorly coded that it causes physical damage to the system.
Seems very unlikely that the CPU (i9 9900k) is only broken for this one game, but works fine in all the others... Probably just very poor optimization for Intel CPUs if your AMD doesn´t seem to have the same problems as we do. Also 90+% GPU usage for this game on a 2080 Super Amp Extreme is waaaay too much, even at the highest settings. They just did a very poor job on optimization, and seemingly they don´t even bother to test their patches before releasing. Otherwise the "loading games with depleted energy" bug would never have been released like that.
Some people say that it´s ok because it´s still in pre-release, but that´s not true. I bought this game as a fully released game for around 20$ and it´s unplayable as of now. Not going to buy anything from this developer anymore.
Edit: Just realised that the OP has a 3090 running at 71% with 60 FPS. That`s a joke. Maybe they are mining bitcoin with our GPU´s?
The behavior only occurs in this game, so my CPU is fine.
@sabot
That's exactly what I've been asking myself about mining.
True is also too much. 71% on my 3090 is way too much.
What GPU do you have?
CPU usage is from 30 up to 60% (AMD Ryzen 9 5900X)
GPU usage is from 90 to 95% (RTX 3080)
If you google "Internet Cafe Simulator 2 mining in background" you will get only results for MINING BITCOIN IN GAME. What a genius move by the developers.
I thought it was my CPU that would result in the high CPU usage, it is a i5 6600, lol.
I think something shady is going on with this game....
I uninstalled the game because nobody cares. Neither the developer nor Steam Support.
Also have intel processor. Im able to play most games at 1440P 60fps
