Controller support is really, really bad

I quit out of the training ground.
Pushing in L stick was the best choice for shift? lol?
the aiming alone on the arm is really REALLy bad, a free-moving :" mouse cursor " you move with right analogue couldnt be worse, it's literally objectoively, the worstpossible solution for this.

and to make matters worse, you cannot reconifgure the buttons, bc when you do the game just sayd " please connect joystick "

anywyas, everythign is great.. up until the parts where oyu have to battle .. the controls.
im sure it controls like a dream on mouse and keyboard.
Im not on that.

also, the tutorial just flat-out doesnt tell you the controls, it just gives you keyoard commands.


please fix these thigns, everythign else about this game is amazing, except for like, the parts where you play ( if on controlelr )

left trigger is not bnoost and swing , its pushing in l stick on my controller. and as I state in my review, you cant rebind the controls - it softlocks the game,

Maybe you could write a post about Nintendo next. Mouse and keyboard controls don't work at all for Breath of the Wild. WHATS UP WITH THAT!?

it doesnt say that on the store page, and " best p[layed on " doesnt mean controller should work liek trash.

in my review i noted the store page doesnt say controller support/.

however.

none of that matters, bc the controller support is objectively bad. there's no denying that.
add as many qualifiers ot it as oyu like, it is what it is

are you playing on an apple device or something?
I have tried several controllers now, and the default layout is as stated earlier.
perhaps try reinstalling the game if your controls are somehow that flopped.

are you sure you dont have some settings overlaid from big picture mode?

It's just really strange that your controls are bound like that. it's just not the default setting.

what kind of controller are you using?
I'm using various flavors of xbox and switch controllers connected with a usb cable.
Each one properly maps the appropriate buttons for the tutorials and game prompts.
So it could also be a hardware issue.

The store page also says "Partial Controller Support". IE it is there and it somewhat works, but it's not all the way there. This should be obvious.
Obviously they should be working on it, and they are, since this is a beta. But the fact that before it had 0 (since the game was designed with mkb in mind) in a old demo I'd say it's a step forward. Just tell them where the issues are and they should be able to figure it out from there.
