DREDGE

The resolution is not saved if it is higher than the screen resolution.
If I want to set a resolution of 3840x2160, but the main display is only Full HD, the game does not save the new resolution.

DSR cannot be used this way.

Is there possibly a workaround? Where can I find the config ini files?

Hello Glacier,

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

We are sorry to hear you have had a problem with your resolution not saving to the desired choice. Can you just confirm whether you are trying to select a higher resolution than what your monitor supports?

We look forward to your reply.

Hello, my monitor supports 1920x1080. But i turned on Nvidias Dynamic Super Resolution so the game is rendered as 4k but downsampled to 1920x1080.

With other games it does work.

Hello Glacier,

Thank you for getting back to us and confirming those details.

Can you just confirm when you tried to change your resolution, have you also tried the different windowed modes to see if that helps the resolution stay at the one you have picked?

We look forward to your reply.

Hello Glacier,

Thank you for getting back to us and confirming those details.

We are not sure what would be causing this problem, we do not take into consideration third-party applications when managing resolutions in that way when designing the game. Can I recommend contacting Nvidia Customer Support[www.nvidia.com] to see if they can offer any insight into this problem?

Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause in the meantime.

Hello, i'm sorry but i wont contact Nvidia, because i dont think the problem lies on their side. DSR works and its something how dredge handles the screen resolution.

i found a workaround: when im playing dredge, i will increase screen resoultion to 4k.

maybe the problem will be fixed in further updates

thank you for your help and time though!

I am also now experiencing this. It's funny you say "We are not sure what would be causing this problem, we do not take into consideration third-party applications when managing resolutions in that way when designing the game.' When actually that's exactly what you did. NVIDIA DSR changes your desktop rez to whatever you set and games have no idea its not the "real" res. It works in every other game because other games don't do any checking they just believe what is being reported as the res. The problem with your game is you have this odd monitor selection choice and the monitor selection choice is saying what each monitors max res is. I bet 100 bucks your game is using that to limit what the rez can be set to. So I have a 1440p monitor and I use DSR to make it 4k. I then select 4k in game but it doesnt get saved and I'm betting its that damn monitor selection or some kind of limit on what the game believes your monitors max res is.
