No way to recover Slab items if sold

You can get unique items from completing the slabs around the islands. I sold the Sinew Spindle from the first slab in The Marrows because in the early game the slot this item saves over the Flexible Rod isn't worth the loss of Fishing Speed and you can't do much with that extra slot. When I sold it to the shop, it showed up in the Shipyard's item list so I figured I could buy it back later. However, it looks like that is only possible on that visit, as the shopkeeper's inventory gets reset occasionally (time based?). Additionally, the slabs can only be completed once, even if you sell the item. That means if sold you can never get them back.

Now after the 2nd hull upgrade, I see my mistake as with the Sinew Spindle it would be possible to run the Ocean rod and Sinew Spindle to cover all 3 main fishing types while also being able to run the 3x2 trawling net. Without the Spindle, that set up is impossible with the other rods available through research.

Is it possible to either add the slab items to the shops once unlocked (only allowing 1 copy though), or make the slabs able to be completed again if you sold the item? Permanently losing access to a unique item because it looked pointless in the early game really sucks.

You're able to sell these and get them back if you realise before the shops reset at midnight.
If you don't, these are gone.

There is no way to get these again unless you started a new game, for example.

I realize how they work. Just saying that there should be some other way to recover them besides restarting the entire game. That's not reasonable.

yeah, i had the same mistake happen to me, making the altars/fish slabs repeatable AFTER you lose the item would be the best way to implement a way to get them back imo

Hi.

I´m missing the sinew spindle because i threw it over board to fit an extra recource before heading back to town, thinking I could just equip my starter rod the next morning to complete the shrine again. Allthough I was a bit dissapointed for losing the sinew spindle, it was a gamble and I lost. I don´t think redoable shrines are the way to go, since they won´t feel as rewarding and you´d have to lower the price of some neat looking fishing rods again, subtracting from their physicality (or tangible feeling). Instead, how about a hint about shrines only activating once by adding some kind of fading magic effect or crumble to them?
