Black Screen Problem

Hi. My problem is black screen. Im running the game, game is openning but with only black screen. Nothing happens. Can devs help me cuz i will return the game :(

We're sorry to hear you're having this issue!

Please can you try verifying your game files:
  1. Right-click the game in your library
  2. Go to 'Properties'
  3. Go to the local files tab
  4. Click 'Verify integrity of game files...'

I dit it many times but didnt change anything. I uninstalled and intalled again but didnt change anything still.

Have you been able to play the game at all or has this happened since first launching?

So that we can better understand the problem and recommend a solution, we would like to request that you please send us your DxDiag information via the steps below: 
  1. Hold down the Windows Key and press R 
  2. The Run dialog should appear. Type dxdiag in the available text field. 
  3. Click OK 
  4. Click Save All Information 
  5. Set the Save as type to Text File (*.txt) 
  6. Save the file DxDiag.txt to your Desktop so it is easy to find. 
  7. Open the .txt file, copy all the contents > Paste all the contents to a free text hosting service such as https://justpaste.it/ or http://pastebin.com/
  8. Copy the link to your post and paste in your reply
Once we have this information, we will do our best to further assist you in resolving this matter.

I was able to play for an hour or two, then the game suddenly gave a black screen and I could not enter it again

I cant remember what ı was doing
I cant get into the menu at all. Only black screen.

Hi SEC,

Thank you for confirming and sharing the file with us.

Let's make sure that your computer is not attempting to run the game via your integrated graphics card, rather than your dedicated NVidia graphics card.

To run the game through your dedicated graphics card, you may need to refer to your graphics card manufacturer's documents. If you are still unsure of how to do this, please contact the manufacturer of your graphics card directly.

We are unable to directly offer you instructions on how to do this. However, if you are connected to the internet, you may find the following useful:
  1. Right-click your desktop, and select NVIDIA Control Panel.
  2. From the left, select Manage 3D Settings.
  3. Select Program Settings and navigate to select the program. (If the program is not in the list, select Add > navigate to the folder ‘…\Steam\steamapps\common’, select the game name folder, and then select the .exe.
  4. Click High Performance to select the higher-power graphics card to use for that specific application.
    Select Apply.
After the steps please retest the game to see if the problem continues.

Please can you also check for any pending and optional updates for your system via the steps below:
  1. Select the Start button
  2. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update
  3. Select Check for updates
  4. After installing the update, select Check online for updates from Microsoft Update

I made steps about NVIDIA and windows updates. And i tried again to run game but happens nothing still. I don't think this will fix. I congratulate you for the game you made, it's really nice game and I like it very much. But I guess I won't be able to continue playing. anyway congratulations

i have the similar issue. after the game crashed, the game does not go any further from black screen.

I have the same problem, 70 min play, game crashed, black screen
happened twice on 2 different saves on 2 different systems

same here. system crash and can't get past initial load screen. in task manager under Dredge it shows Unity System Crash.

My daughter accidentally hit the restart button on my computer and when it came back on I had a similar experience with a blank screen at launch.

Tried validation the cache/files, reinstalling etc.

I was able to get further by removing the C:\Users\%WINDOWSUSER%\AppData\LocalLow\Black Salt Games folder, after taking out the saves directory within, and when launching the game again it recreated this. I'm unable to hit load/new game (unresponsive) and when I choose Continue, it enters into an endless loading screen and I have to ctrl+alt+del to get out of it. Hope that helps.
