We're sorry to hear you're having this issue.
Do you have any controllers/joysticks/wheels etc plugged in at all?
If so, can you please remove them and try again?
Get back to us when you can.

Thanks for getting in touch with us - sorry to hear you're having the same issue with your mouse in Dredge.
Do you have any unnecessary peripherals or USBs plugged in that are not in use? If so, please unplug these and retest the game.
Can you please confirm if you rebooted the game at all and if the issue persisted following this?
We would also recommend checking your game installation to make sure that there are no corrupted files causing the problem. To do this:
- Right-click on the game in your Steam Library
- Choose Properties
- Switch to the Local Files tab and press Verify integrity of game files...
Then attempt to run the game to see if the issue is resolved. Thanks in advance for any further information you can provide - get back to us when you can.

I closed the game and the problem persisted after restarting - no visable cursor, unless I held down the "w" key. I restarted Windows 10 and I got a visable cursor but it kept snapiing back to the middle of the screen unless I held down "w".
I checked for corrupted files.
I did start the game and the map would scroll to the right and the prompts were for a controller.
A second Windows restart and all was good.
I played today and I had visable cursor but it kept snapping back to the middle. I restarted Windows and all was good again.
I think the issue is how the game works with windows and somehow they're remembering a controller, that isn't there and a windows restart or two makes them forget.
I hope that gives you something to work with.
All the best,
reckley
Thank you for getting back to us and confirming that for us.
Can you please just confirm there are no controllers connected via wireless connection?
Let's see if we can fix this for you by changing some of the Steam settings.
Can you please follow the steps below:
- Launch the Steam client and click the controller icon at the top right to enter Big Picture Mode
- Go to Settings > Controller Settings and make sure that "Playstation/Xbox/Generic Configuration Support" are all toggled off.
- Once you have done this restart the game and see if the problem persists?
We look forward to your reply.Regards,

Thank you for getting back to us.
Just to confirm the problem you were having has now stopped and the game and mouse are working correctly?
We look forward to your reply.

All seems to be working fine now. I only had the issue the second time I started the game and a couple of Windows restarts fully cleared it.
I'll get back to you if it returns.
Thanks for getting in touch with us - sorry to hear you're having a similar issue with your mouse in Dredge.
Let's try to check your game installation to make sure that there are no corrupted files causing the problem. To do this:
Then attempt to run the game to see if the issue is resolved.
If the issue persists can you please make sure you have no unnecessary USBs or peripherals plugged in whilst attempting to play that may be causing the issue?
Can you please confirm if you have tried the above step provided by @reckley, and restarted your Windows? If so, does the issue still persist?
Thanks in advance for any further information you can provide - get back to us when you can.

The problem didn't come back but, I've got a similar problem with Mirror's Edge Catalyst. I played it ok first launch and after that he mouse works fine in the menu but, there's nothing working in game and nothing from the keyboard. (Tried disabling Steam and Origin overlays, to no effect).
I also noticed on launch the mouse cursor seemed to be trapped in an invisable box (before the game had loaded) and could only travel so far on the screen.
I don't think the game is the problem, I think it's an issue with Steam - differen't games made years apart and I played through Mirror's Edge Cat without any issues years ago. Steam and Windows are the only things that have updated significantly.
I hope this helps in some way (at least it's, probably, not your fault!)
Regards.
Reckley
Thank you for getting back to us and confirming that.
We are glad to hear the problem has not come back and you are able to enjoy the game again. Unfortunately, if you are having a similar problem with another game we would recommend reaching out to the developers of that game and asking if they can assist you further with this problem.
If you have any other problems or questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

I only brought the issue with the other game to point out the issue may be with steam. I wasn't expecting you to fix someone elses game :)
Thanks for your reply.
We'd recommend contacting Steam if you know of the issue occurring on multiple games, they may be able to help further!
Thanks for sharing with us and other players, however!

There's nothing to report now, the problem went away with the other game just like it did with Dredge. There's not enough to go on to pin it down. If it happens with a third game, there maybe something but, at the moment it's a random, tempory fault.
Will you be adding any more to Dredge to expand it further? I really enjoyed the game and want more! I'll have to have a second playthrough to try and get a different ending.
All the best,
reckley
