Figure in gold possibly bugged

Greedy little sod has had two blue crabs so far and not given me the book.

1: Gave him a red snapper and deployed MotD near his rock
2:Stayed night at nearby makeshift dock
3: Found photographers lenses, caught Fangtooth and gave it to him
4:Got crab adn took pot at the same time
5: Gave him crab, didn't get a book
6: Redployed MotD near his rock
7: Stayed night at same makeshift dock
8: Went back to Figure in Gold
9: Picked up MotD wiht a Blue Crab
10: Gave him crab
11: Still no book

Figure in Blue was OK (I'm doing a weird run through, no research allowed, only light allowed is Flame of the Sky, only explosives are the initial batch from Whaler, only purchased equipment is the net you need to do Stellar Basin. Using Blackstone Key DLC. Currently boat is T2 running all the shrine rods, the two basic rods the Peculiar, Arterial and Weak Valve engines and I have Flame of the Sky. Run has to be done very out of order (Tendon Rod before you go to Stellar Basin) so a pretty niche run through as doing all Hooded Figures before going back to Twisted Strand on the quest line.

Thanks for getting in touch with us - sorry to hear you're having issues with the Figure in Gold quest.

So just to confirm, you gave them the red snapper, the fangtooth and the blue crab and have had no reward?

Does the quest show as completed in your game even though you have not received the reward or did you receive any notification that the figure in gold perished at all?

Were the items you gave them the aberrant variations at all?
