Giant Dragonfish - Help Please

I'm doing the Iron Rig and currently searching for the Giant Dragonfish in The Devil's Spine. I have two rods which are Hadal and Volcanic but I go to areas of the black sludge and it says I don't have the right equipment. All the Wiki says is it has to be Hadal.

Does anyone know the specific rod I need?

You probably forgot to infuse the rods at the factory.

That's not it. I have the Tempered Mesh Net, the Infused Winch, the Infused Fireproof Rod and the Viscera Crane. I still have areas in Devil's Spine that says I don't have the right equipment. And otherwise have not been able to find the Giant Dragonfish.

It seems I am "dead in the water" until I figure this out. Went back and tried with the bottomless line and that didn't work either.

Could you share a screenshot of your inventory setup, and perhaps one of the fishing spot you're trying to use? You should be able to catch it using the Infused Hoist (which gives you the "Advanced Hadal" fishing type)

I finally got it! I had the infused WINCH, not the HOIST so that was the problem. Thank you for your response and this game. Dredge is one of my all time favorite games.
