Does fish in Storage spoil faster than if in Cargo?
Same as the title. Also I never seen fish spoil in the cargo itself, so maybe in cargo it never spoils?

Definitely possible, though I’m not certain. Once I had one fish spoil in storage and realized that could happen, I just stopped putting them in there. They can definitely still spoil in cargo, but I couldn’t tell you if there’s a time difference. Fish you put in storage also first have to be transported there first, so they do already lose a little time on the way, so that could at least contribute to making it seem like they spoil faster.
That being said, at this point I’m 100% sure fish do not spoil while in a trawling net. If you can manage to catch a specific fish you need in there, you can keep it as long as you want so long as you don’t move it.

Just confirming that the trawl net does indeed keep fresh. Take note that 'sell all fish' does empty your net as well, so you'll need to sell individually if you want to save something in the net.

I am curious, however, if the trawl net only keeps fish fresh as long as it's lowered, implying that the fish are still in the water. I wonder if raising it would allow them to spoil as normal. 🤔

I’ve not thoroughly tested it but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. I imagine the rule is something along the lines of the spoilage timer not starting until you actually pick up the item in your hand, and fish automatically collected by things like the net (or crab pots) haven’t actually been picked up yet.
It could also be inventory specific, as it definitely seems like some of the puzzles that require multiple fish at once will keep them from spoiling further if you put things in without solving them.
