I like this team; the story was good, the game was engaging with interesting content (Clearly they have an interest in fish which is in line with what I enjoy as well)
To draw the conclusion that this is a deception you need to read through the FAQ. 12-15 hours of game play if you do most everything (without a guide, I bet most complaints are people using a guide...I could have finished the game in a few hours with the bloody guides)
You've probably never been on the ocean or far from shore. I know this isn't a sim but oceans tend to be...endless water all around you with some rocks and little islands if you are unlucky (navigation hazards!)
The trader states she is a traveling trader so I found it funny. "Ok, it's going to be the same person at each port"
Ok, I said my peace. We are all allowed our opinion of the game and that's fair but your arguments for the price don't have legs to stand on. I've read better arguments about the price in other threads.
I certainly hungered for more by the end of it, but some games are just short and Dredge is one such game. For a shorter game, I think it's well designed around its length, and it'd be another thing entirely if it was a longer game stretched out over too little to do, or too many systems shoved into a game too small to need them all.
And I can't help but notice that the game can functionally be an endless fishing sandbox if you ignore the main story quest.
