Cant turn on light

I have lightinstalled and it say its operational but I cant seem to turnit on? I hit E to binrg up wheeel I clickon light but nothing happens?

You have to select each item you want to use with "E" and once it is selected, you can use it by clicking the right mouse button.

I have the same problem and it's game breaking. I can call up the options with E but clicking on the horn or light doesn't select it :(
Edit- Oh, it brings up an icon in the bottom left corner then you have to select that way. Can't switch easily between them without changing in the menu.

omg thanks for this thread - the tutorial only teaches you once about the light, and it does so independently of teaching you about managing the wheel; so after I didn't play the game for two weeks I completely forgot and couldn't deploy anything but crab pots! didn't realize you had to switch your usable item (annoying)

A useful bit of knowledge for you guys is that when you go into the utility selection wheel, play time slows to a crawl (not a stop, a CRAWL) so you can select what you need in a pinch.

(Ab)use that to your advantage.

You hold E and it opens a radial menu. Scroll over to the tool you want to use, in your case the light. Let go of E when the selector is on the tool you want and then right click on your mouse to activate or deactivate the tool currently selected.

Some tools require you to hold down right click to activate then let go to stop using them
